AUCHORACHAN SIMMENTAL FEMALES

We have 5 main families in the herd, the "Madie" family which descends from Ravensworth Madie who was purchased at the Ravensworth dispersal. One of Madies first calves was Auchorachan Wizard who was overall champion at the Stirling Bull Sales and sold for 20,000gns.

The "Hilly" family go back to Greenlea Hilly who was bought at a local farm dispersal, her family have been prolific female breeders and this is now our biggest family. 

​

The "Letta" family began with the purchase of Woodhall Letta at the Woodhall reduction sale, Letta's granddaughter Countess, has many show success's to her name and bulls from the family have sold well.

​

Woodhall "Nanny" was a private purchase from Hector Macaskill, and also has some show winners among her descendants.

​

"Weigela" is a long established family at Delfur Simmentals, and Delfur Weigela S26 was selected as a maiden heifer. We now have some great females from this line in the Auchorachan herd. 

​

A sixth family has been started with the purchase, at the Curaheen herd dispersal in Ireland, of Curaheen Princess and her calf at foot, along with her granddaughter Curaheen Dixie. They will form the "Princess" family.
